Peas Please Veg Campaign

Peas Please (Food Foundation) launched in 2017 with a clear mission to make it easier for everyone in the UK to eat more veg. Throughout 2022 Veg Advocates will be running many events around veg to engage people in eating better for health and nutrition, cooking, using up left-overs and educating children. The campaign as a whole is also working with schools, issues around household waste and asking out of home food establishments to provide more veg in their dishes and on menus. Supermarkets are being tackled to source more UK veg, reduce pesticide use in their supply chains, use less single-use plastic, make labeling clearer and reduce waste.

Currently people are not eating enough healthy, local, seasonal and organic veg. We aim to provide fresh vegetables and some veg dishes with organic vegetables from The Plot and/or other local organic producers. We can also advise on healthy veg snacks and provide easy recipes to cook at home.
